    @nytimes @nytpolitics This isn’t a particularly new claim, Fortune covered it in 2016 (fortune.com/2020/10/12/us-economy-president-impact-trump/amp/) citing the Blinder/Watson paper aeaweb.org/articles?id=10.1257/aer.20140913 that puts Presidents and economic results down to a mix of luck.
