  1. It's always wild to me how people think the center left (America has never really had a Left) is some sort of political force.       Any realistic assessment of American politics immediately sees the asymmetric polarization, where a united socially revolutionary right, untethered from policies, civic ethics, or the law, simply runs the table and does as it pleases, with only meek protests from pragmatists.
